Making PowerPoint Sparkle

1/2 day

Who is this course designed for?

This course is designed for those who need to present data and ideas in a clear and meaningful manner. They will already have a good working knowledge of Word and understand some of the basics like Cut & Paste.

The "Making PowerPoint Sparkle" course is for those with a good working knowledge of the standard features and who now want to exploit the full potential of PowerPoint.

What will they learn?

They will learn the basics of creating slides in slide view, rearranging them in the slide sorter view and how to screen a presentation effectively. The course covers creating a simple outline, choosing a suitable background theme, adding titles, text and bullet points, inserting and formatting graphic images and clipart and choosing the appropriate slide layout  for each slide.
Slide transitions and animations are introduced to allow eye-catching screen shows with manual or rehearsed timings.

They will learn how to manipulate and edit clipart and graphics, move graphic elements around the screen, add sound and navigation buttons to the screen show, work in the slide master view and to use the vast library of special effects to their best advantage.
Advanced presentation techniques are explored and each delegate will produce his or her own slide show with graphs, charts and live links to other files.

How will they benefit?

By the end of the course each delegate will have produced a PowerPoint presentation, with dynamic transitions and animations, and will have the confidence to tackle most of the standard features required for a professional looking screen show.

By the end of the course each delegate will have produced several PowerPoint presentations, using many of the more advanced features available to power users, and will be more confidant about presenting in front of an audience.

Where will the course be held?

On your premises to avoid high travelling costs for your staff and to learn in a familiar PC environment. Courses are available in PowerPoint 2000, PowerPoint 2003 and PowerPoint 2007.

Is it expensive?

No. With a group of six the cost per delegate could be as little as £50 each. Detailed and illustrated notes accompany each course. Other content can be introduced by arrangement.

Are there any other PowerPoint courses?

Yes. We can structure a course, or a series of courses, to accommodate your exact needs. You might want to design your own company templates and master slides for others to use or to link PowerPoint with data held in Word or Excel.

If training time is limited you may also want to consider one of the  Byte Sized PowerPoint Courses available at venues in Bucks and Oxon. Click here for the Byte Sized events diary
